Part 1: The Attention
Draco Malfoy had always been popular with the girls, but after the summer, he returned to Hogwarts looking even more handsome than before. He had grown taller and more muscular, and his features seemed even sharper than they had been before. It seemed like every girl in Hogwarts had a crush on him.
Draco enjoyed the attention. He liked the way girls would giggle and blush when he walked by, the way they would try to catch his eye in the Great Hall or during class. But he had never been one to date around. He was a Slytherin, after all, and he had always known that he wanted to be with someone who shared his values and his ambitions. He had always known that he wanted to be with someone like y/n.
y/n was also a Slytherin, and she had been friends with Draco since their first year at Hogwarts. They had bonded over their shared love of Quidditch and their mutual disdain for authority. They had also shared a lot of adventures over the years, from sneaking around the castle after hours to fighting off Death Eaters. They had been through so much together, and they had always been there for each other.
But despite their close friendship, Draco had always secretly harbored feelings for y/n. He had never told her how he felt, though. He was afraid that it would ruin their friendship, or that she wouldn't feel the same way. So he had kept his feelings to himself, and had watched as y/n dated other guys over the years. It had always hurt him to see her with someone else, but he had never said anything.
Now, with all the attention he was getting from other girls, Draco found himself thinking about y/n more than ever. He wondered if she had noticed the changes in him, if she was impressed by his new muscles and his sharper features. He wondered if she had started to see him in a different light, as something more than just a friend.
Part 2: The Pursuit
As the weeks went by, Draco found himself being pursued by more and more girls. They would come up to him in the hallways or in the Great Hall, batting their eyelashes and trying to flirt with him. They would invite him to Hogsmeade or to parties, hoping to catch his attention. And while he appreciated their interest, he couldn't help feeling like something was missing.
It wasn't until one day in Potions class that everything changed. Draco was sitting next to y/n, as usual, and they were working on a particularly difficult potion. Draco was struggling to get the ingredients just right, and y/n was watching him with a small smile on her lips.
"You know," she said, "you don't have to be perfect all the time. It's okay to make mistakes."
Draco looked up at her, surprised. He had always been so focused on being the best, on being perfect in everything he did. But y/n was right - sometimes it was okay to make mistakes.
He smiled at her, feeling a warmth in his chest that he couldn't explain. It was like she had seen something in him that no one else had.
As the class ended and they gathered up their things, Draco found himself unable to resist. He turned to y/n and blurted out, "Hey, do you want to go to Hogsmeade with me this weekend?"
y/n looked up at him, surprise written all over her face. "Sure," she said, her voice tinged with a hint of amusement. "I'd love to."
Draco felt a surge of happiness wash over him. He had finally taken the first step towards something more with y/n.
Part 3: The Confession
The day of their Hogsmeade date arrived, and Draco was nervous. He wanted everything to be perfect, but he couldn't help feeling like he was going to mess it up somehow. He met y/n at the entrance to the castle, and they set off toward the village.
As they walked, they chatted about everything and nothing, just like they always did. They talked about Quidditch, about the upcoming Yule Ball, about their plans for the winter holidays. And as they talked, Draco found himself growing more and more comfortable with y/n.
Finally, they arrived in Hogsmeade, and Draco led y/n to his favorite pub. They settled into a booth, ordered some butterbeers, and started talking again. This time, though, the conversation turned to more serious matters.
Draco took a deep breath and looked at y/n. "I have to tell you something," he said. "Something that I've been keeping inside for a long time."
y/n looked at him, concern etched on her face. "What is it?" she asked.
Draco took another deep breath. "I've always had feelings for you, y/n," he said. "Since we were kids, I've admired you and respected you and…loved you, I think."
y/n's eyes widened, and she looked at Draco in surprise. "Really?" she asked.
Draco nodded, his heart pounding in his chest. "I know it's probably too late, now that we're in our final year and everything, but I just had to tell you. I couldn't keep it inside anymore."
y/n reached across the table and took Draco's hand. "It's not too late, Draco," she said softly. "I've had feelings for you, too. I've just been waiting for you to say something."
Draco felt a wave of relief wash over him. He couldn't believe that y/n felt the same way he did. He leaned across the table and kissed her, and it was like everything in the world fell into place.
Part 4: The Future
After that day in Hogsmeade, Draco and y/n were inseparable. They spent every moment they could together, whether it was studying in the library, playing Quidditch, or just hanging out in the common room. They were happier than they had ever been before.
But as their final year at Hogwarts drew to a close, Draco and y/n faced a difficult decision. They both wanted to pursue their dreams, but they weren't sure if they could do it together. Draco had plans to work for his father's company, while y/n wanted to study abroad in America.
They talked about it for weeks, trying to come up with a solution that would work for both of them. And finally, they decided to take a chance. y/n would study abroad for a year, and Draco would wait for her. They would stay together, no matter what.
The year passed quickly, and soon y/n was back in England. She and Draco were reunited, and it was like they had never been apart. They started planning for their future together, talking about their hopes and dreams, and figuring out what they wanted from life.
Finally, one day, Draco got down on one knee and proposed to y/n. She said yes, and they were married in a small ceremony surrounded by their closest friends and family. They were so in love, and they knew that they would always be there for each other, no matter what.
